OiOiOi Stories

OiOiOi Stories is a long-term project we initiated in 2023. The purpose of this project is not only to create something unique for ourselves, but also to highlight the people, craftsmanship, and narratives that merit recognition. Our aim is to provide succinct yet captivating insights into the commitment and craftsmanship of these individuals, along with their unique stories.

In the pilot episode, we introduce the exceptional Martin Gant. Martin was raised in London during the 50s and 60s and pursued a career in the film industry's special effects department, following in his father's footsteps. He contributed to numerous big-budget films of the 70s and 80s, including Alien, Star Wars 2, and James Bond. In 1990, after marrying a Norwegian, he relocated to Norway, where he continued in the same industry, transitioning to the Design department as technology advanced. To balance his commercial work, Martin started creating his own projects in 2000, splitting his time between Oslo, Nøtterøy, and Italy.
